SFC #101 What Holiday Is It?

Good morning everyone! I'd like to thank those who played along in our challenge last week, and give a big congratulations to our winner

Gaynor, just contact Holly at usyungs@gmail.com to claim your prize!

With summer heating things up I thought it would be fun to challenge everyone to make a holiday card this week, but there's a little twist to it. The challenge is to pick an image intended for one holiday, but use it for a different holiday. Sound like fun? Want to play along?

**You don't *have* to use a Squigglefly image, but in order to qualify for a prize you MUST use one. You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify too! Don't have a Squigglefly image? Then try looking at the FREEBIES section and use one of those! There are lots to choose from!**

Here are some fabulous projects the design team has come up with to inspire you.

Kari Ronnabakk came up with a clever summertime Christmas card using several images from the Summertime Set! I think it would be the perfect Christmas card for someone who lives in a warm climate or was vacationing somewhere warm during Christmas!

Diana Genario has created a fun 4th of July card with the Triple Jacks pumpkins! I love the creative way she thought outside the box on this one!

Dana Christiansen has turned the Easter Egg Baby image into an adorable baby card! So cute, don't you think?

Holley Barnhart used the Shy Girl image to create a wonderfully patriotic 4th of July card. I am loving those quilled hearts and teeny stars!

Tammy Hair showed us all how to celebrate the 4th by using the Cool Pool image! Who wouldn't want to be right here on a sizzling hot summer day in July? Love the bow she added to the hat!

And I have used the Ant Birthday image for a 4th of July card by turning the candle into a firecracker!

See how creative you can get with your cards, and have some fun with it!

Are you ready for our NEXT challenge today?!!
Title of challenge - "Anything BUT the usual!"
This means that YOU need to create something different than you would normally make. For instance, if you make cards all the time, then create something different. Or if you normally use Copics to color with, then use something else to color with, etc. You get the idea....just do something DIFFERENT...but have FUN!! :)

Have a look at the wonderful inspiration the talented DT has created for you:

 Dani using
Flowers Set by Lynne Stansbery
Dani's "unusual" is her lack of embellishments and designer papers on this creation

Jan using
Here's How Your Garden Grows by Lynne Stansbery
Jan tried "no coloring" on her creation this week

Marlene using
Tom Boy by Nate Owens
Marlene's "unusual" is coloring with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol instead of her regular Copics

Melody using
Fancy Flowers by Nina Brackett
Melody's "unusual" is printed images on digital papers and shading them with pencils

Rebecca using
Snowman Lights by Brian Locke
(see her blog for details)

 Stephanie using
Inside-Outs Thanks a Bushel by Chesney Young
Steph's "unusual" is digitally coloring her images and making shape-style card without using dies!

Sue using

Vicki - Here's mine
using Love is Like a Butterfly by Jess Holland
