Squigglefly Challenge SFC#111 - SFC111 - Touchy Feely!

Squigglefly Challenge #111 - SFC111 - Touchy Feely!

First - let's announce the winner of last week's challenge, SFC110 - Button Blowout!
The WINNER of that challenge is Mandy!:

Congratulations Mandy !!

Everyone's creations are great! We would love to have more participants using Squigglefly images to make the challenge results more competitive. Remember- we have freebies available on the Squigglefly website.

Mandy, please contact Holly to collect your prize winnings and don't forget to grab the "Award Winner" badge on the sidebar to display on your blog to show everyone you are a winner!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the challenge last week. And extra recognition to Squigglefly's faithful followers who join us every week. Thank you!

Now, onto THIS week's challenge: Touchy Feely!

We challenge you to use texture on your creation. Think outside the box:
textured cardstock, embossing, flocking, fabric, pom pom's, sandpaper, cork, etc.
You name it- you can use it on your project!

***********************************
My team, HEATHER'S HEADLINERS created these awesome projects for your viewing pleasure. They found some unique ways to add texture to their projects. We hope you are inspired!

Tammy set the scene by creating a yarn rug and some cat toys plus some embossing and flocking. "Three Cat Pile-Up" is by artist Crissy Armstrong and the sentiment "Cat Hairs" is by Jess Holland. Love how Tammy built such a cozy and realistic scene (but she forgot the lint roller)!

Pat used puffy paint and "Daisy Bear" by artist Diane Carubia to decorate this tank top for her adorable granddaughter! Great idea for a kid's shirt (and remember you saw this future super model here first!) PS For more details on how she made the shirt, check out Pat's blog.

Jill roughed it by creating bark and leaves on a textured background. "Up a Tree without a Ladder" is from the prolific Lynne Stansbery. Love the bark background, bark on the limb and bark colored on the image.

Holley used fabric and buttons to create a comfortable nest for "Teddy's New Home" by artist Diane Carubia. All the comforts of home (including a fluffy "blanket")!

Debbie added bling, an embossed background and satin ribbon to insure "Wedding Bliss" by Chesney Young. Very elegant- what couple wouldn't be blissfully happy to receive this card?

Terri embellished "I'm SO Embarrassed" by artist Jackie Matthews with feathers, embossed polka dot cardstock and a metal sign post. Love that feather and the sign!

Peggy added some textured cardstock, pearls and a fabric flower to "Bored Beatrice" drawn by artist Marlene Shaw. If you look at the sample closely, you'll see Peggy even colored texture into the hair!
Stephanie made the purr-fect card featuring "Butterfly Buddy" by artist Nate Owens. I love how Stephanie combined an embossed background, textured patterned paper and linen vellum. Clean and simple unless you are that butterfly!

***Please take a look at the challenge rules- we updated them this week***
We learned from challenge participant Charlene that although we commented on her entry, we accidentally forgot to enter her for the weekly prize.
We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries and we love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefy belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry. Thanks Charlene for letting us know how we can improve our challenges and we hope you enjoy the free Squigglefly image.

1) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC111 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there.
1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.
2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab!
3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!
4) Please add a DIRECT link to your creation in the collection InLinkz below so we can find it! (new creations only and no back-linking please!) If you have two entries, then just start another collection link to enter again.

Thanks for stopping by and we look forward to seeing your creations!!
Please use the Touchy Feely! theme on your project and put the DIRECT link to it in the collection below. (No back-linking please!)
