Now, onto THIS week's challenge:
COLOR ME (Red/ Orange)
COLOR ME (Red/ Orange)
This is part 2 of our Color Bowl challenge!
We're coloring the town RED and/or ORANGE!
It's the finale of the Color Bowl challenge.
Let's see the main color of your card in this color group:
We're hot! Use any shade(s) of red and/or orange the main colors on your project.
Red/ burgundy/ orange/ tangerine/ apricot/ rust.
Think tropical sunsets, fruit, flames- anything in this color family.

Stephanie used the "Seasonal Trees" from artist Nina Brackett. What a fantastic fall card- great use of patterned paper too. (Below there is another card which also features this image.)

Holley used "Strange Sunflower" created by Lulu Lancaster. Look at that fabulous hair and don't you love the buttons and rick rack?

Tammy is feeling mighty festive with "Party Animals" by Janet Jones. Tammy was very clever and added a textured background and popped up the elephant's head and ear to give it depth.

Jill utilized "A Breezy Walk" drawn by Alecia Blake. I love how Jill used a hexagon shaped sentiment and repeated the dots in the dress on the background paper.

Debbie's infusion of color celebrates "Butterfly Suzie" by Diane Carubia. Great use of texture with the flowers, faux gems and popped butterflies.

Terri also used "Season Trees" by artist Nina Brackett. Notice Terri's image is flipped as the mirror image of Stephanie's above (you get both versions of the image with purchase.) Very cool (knotted?) ribbon and a great textured button.

Pat created with "This Little Piggy had Chardonnay" by artist Suzanne Urban. What a fantastic gift bag and I love the assorted metallic embellishments across the bottom.

And finally Heather (that's me) used "Phat Sexy Dude" by Marlene S. I went with simple colorblock paper to highlight his award!
***Please take a look at the challenge rules- we updated them recently*** We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries and we love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefy belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.
1) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC115 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there.1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

Now, onto THIS week's challenge: WRITER'S CRAMP!
Use chalk (any kind), pencil (any kind), ball point pen, highlighter or crayons on your project or use a school themed image or sentiment on your project.
***********************************
My team, Heather's Headliners, has schooled themselves in the art of Writer's Cramp. There aren't any back to school blues in this batch of samples! Enjoy!
Stephanie shows us the rules with "Shy Bear: Teacher Bear" from artist Lynne Stansbery. I just love those eye catching stars!
Peggy prepares to bribe the teacher with Tiny Tina Off to School drawn by Tracey Malnofski. What inspired embellishments!

Debbie isn't headed to the corner with this card featuring "Sassy Dunce" by Cheryl Alger. Great layout and I love how the point of the dunce cap pokes out of the oval.
Terri shows us a mom's dream using "The Morning Brew" from artist Chesney Young. Love the shiny coffee pot and how the stripes and scallop looks like a tablecloth.
Pat made some magic with "Bit of a Witch" by Cheryl Alger. The shopping list with mini pencils is an inspired idea! Very cool.
Holley made this teacher's gift with "Daisy Chain Bunny" by Diane Carubia. The corner buttons are a great touch. Can't you picture a child bringing this to their teacher?
Tammy used "Bonjour" drawn by Lynne Stansbery. Doesn't that blackboard make a fantastic background?
And finally, Heather (that's me), used "Inside Outs: Thanks a Bushel" by artist Chesney Young. I used a cake decorating stencil for the polka dots.

My team, MARLOONEY's MARVELS created these terrific cards for your inspiration.
We hope you are inspired!
You have to laugh at how she's holding her nose here. I did.
Don't we all wish our sandcastles looked that great?
Who can resist those little water droplets?
I just love the background she created!
Jane's card showcases On the Beach by artist Cheryl Alger
Don't you wish you were a kid again, splashing around in the ocean?
The way she's done the water in the bowl is just so creative!
Dani used WATERCOLORS to make her sky stand out, using Rich Davis' new release: Heart Tree
I love the soft muted colors she used in her card.
I love the soft muted colors she used in her card.
Deena used artist Michelle Bertuzzi's Let's Sail image (it's a great set!) to create this serene beauty.
I just love the "waves" she created with a border punch.
Heather the Headliner used Boogie Board Girl from artist Jackie Matthews. Her card says it all!
(because we all know that toilets use WATER to flush away....stuff.)
I also used glossy accents to give the toilet a nice wet shiny look.
My toilet is so clean you can lick it. Yummy.
