Squigglefly Challenge #15, SFC1513 Mother May I?

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for this week's challenge? First let me tell you last week's winner.
We had a fun contest last week to follow a Recipe--it included using two brads, patterned paper, and a tag.  The winner was Pammie with her creation using a wonderful image from artist Cheryl Alger called Birthday Gifter.

Please contest Holly at usyungs@gmail.com for your prize.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For this week's challenge, SFC1513 Mother May I?

This week the challenge is to create a card for Mother's Day.  That could include a card for any mom in your life--your mom, grandmother, the newest mom in your family, or perhaps that dear friend who just had a baby!  Think of a wonderful card they would just love to get and make it for them!  As usual we would love to see a Squigglefly image, it's required to win a prize but not required to play along.

Let's start with some inspiration from Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals:

 KATHY
Kathy created this beauty in blue with  a wonderful stamp from artist Robin Williams called Pretty Tulips.

Linda created this funny and super adorable card using Fawn Palmer's image called A Monkey Lover.  In addition to the cute sentiment "you are chimply marvelous!"   it also comes with another saying "Happy Birthday to my prime mate!"  All for just $3.  Too cute.

Nancy's card shows a beautiful mom and child. She's using Squigglefly image Baby of Mine.

 CAROLYN
Carolyn created this beautiful card using Time for Spa for Spa from artist Lynne Stansbery.  Wouldn't every mom love that?

DEBBIE
Debbie created this amazing card with Squigglefly image Not so Small by artist Cheryl Alger.  I love the personal note she added.

Shirley has used Squigglefly image Time for Spa for Spa from artist Lynne Stansbery, gorgeous work!

Rhonda created this great card using artist Cheryl Alger's image called Back Yard Vacation.  Perfect for those mom's who love birds.

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.

1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC1513 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.

3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!

4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)

Squigglefly Challenge #14, SFC1413 I Give Thee a Recipe

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for this week's challenge? First let me tell you last week's winner.
We had a fun contest last week to include a liquid theme somewhere in your card.  Heather M created a beautiful card on her blog using Lazy Paisley  by artist Fawn Palmer. Congrats Heather!

Please contest Holly at usyungs@gmail.com for your prize.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For this week's challenge, SFC1413 I Give Thee a Recipe!

This week the challenge is to take all the items included in the recipe and add them to your card in any manner that you like.  The recipe for the week is to add any kind of tag, at least two brads, and some amount of printed paper.  You are welcome to add anything else.  We of course always love a Squigglefly image, it's not required to play, but to be eligible for the prize, must be included.

Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin crafted this beautiful card using gorgeous paper with matching lace.  Adorable pearl brads and a cute yellow tag.  That image is from artist Diane Garrison and is called Dove.  I love how she colored the image to match the patterned paper.  Gorgeous.

Jan Marshall  created this wonderful  card with beautiful printed pink papers and she also printed out an image on her cardstock before adding an adorable image from artist Cheryl Alger called Pondering Thoughts.  Her tag has a cute sentiment "Thinking of you" and she's used two beautiful brads!  Perfect. This cute image also comes with some adorable sayings (not shown here) and cute ladybugs.

Elizabeth Hart designed a bright spring card using cheerful paper that matches her coloring perfect! This cute girl is called Ace in the Hole  designed by artist Cheryl Alger.  I love her Cheer Up! Tag, a yellow balloon sure would cheer me up, as would getting this card.  This cute image also comes with another saying "In order to win, you must sometimes leave a few cards showing..." plus an extra couple images, all for just $3!  Too cute.

Charlene Mitchell used an stunning image called Big Butterfly from artist Diana Garrison. I am sure you can see the pretty printed paper she chose, the lovely tag and brad #1...and you see the second brad?  yep....it's the adorable lady bug!  Wonderful work Charlene.

Darlene Pavlick crafted this stunning card using a large tag and swirly brads.  That adorable digi-stamp comes from artist Cheryl Alger and is called Back Yard Vacation.  Don't you love the shimmery paper in the background? it looks like those leaves have a glaze on them!

Tammy Hair created this lovely butterfly card using a wonderful tag and three gorgeous brads.  The stamp is called Big Butterfly from artist Diana Garrison.  I really like the printed paper she chose and the texture on that tag!

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  used a great image from artist Cheryl Alger.  This adorable image is called Beauty in the Making.  I added some festive pink printed paper.  My brads are the beautiful hearts and the word inspire.  The cute saying on my tag "To dance, is to dream with your feet."  as well as, several additional images including wonderful music notes, shoes, and sayings that are all included for only $3! What a great deal.

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for this week's challenge?
We had a contest last week to make a song theme card, but we didn't have a winner.  That means that this week's winner will get TWO prizes!!  So everyone, put on your thinking caps and get ready for this week's challenge.  WOO HOO.

Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin crafted this wonderful birthday card using two fun images from Squigglefly.  The top image is from artist Gemma Mortlock called Grandma Knitting.  The image on the inside of the card is called Badonkadonk.  How cute!

Elizabeth Hart designed a cute cuppie cake card using artist Diane Carubia's image Kittys Cupcake.  What a joyous celebration with those pearls and cupcake too! YUM.

Charlene Mitchell used an adorable image from artist Cheryl Alger called Sassy Sally's Winter Morning Special.  I just love to see the transition on her card from winter to spring via the flower and butterfly decor.  Kind of makes me think of the weather I am seeing here now, it's so warm some days immediately followed by that day with the chill in the air.

Darlene Pavlick crafted this stunning card.  The little girl image is called NO 2 Pencil and a Dream designed by artist Cheryl Alger. I love the gorgeous background paper and sheer ribbon.  I bet that little girl has huge dreams.

Tammy Hair created this adorable dog card.  This beautiful image is from artist Lynne Stansbery and is called Warm Feet Means Warm Dog.  How cute is that?  The wonderful saying is included with the image for only $3.

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  used a great image from artist Cheryl Alger.  This adorable image is called Pencil Boy With Glasses. Isn't he cute?  I used an monochromatic green theme and  I added a simple vellum sentiment "This world is but a canvas to our imagination."

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!
