Squigglefly Challenge #40, SFC4013 Orange Bliss

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for this week's challenge? Well, first let me tell you last week's winner.  We had a great challenge last week to create a holiday card..  The winner of the challenge is Gail who created an adorable card using Comfort and Joy Carolers from Squigglefly Artist Lynne Stansbery.

Please contact Holly at usyungs@gmail.com for your prize.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This week's challenge is SFC4013 Orange Bliss

The challenge this week is to create a card using the color orange.  Perhaps and orange card or orange embellishments, orange coloring, all the orange we'd love to see, it's just perfect for fall time and Halloween, but your card doesn't need to be Halloween or fall theme.   We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.
Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin crafted a wonderful combination of orange and green using a brand new image called Just my Type from artist Judith Hart.  Too adorable.  Don't you love this stand up card that looks like a typewriter. So awesome.

Jan Marshall  created this tag using this wonderful pumpkin stamp from artist Elizabeta Kushner.  This image is called Pumpkin Flourish.  What a wonderful tag for Halloween, Thanksgiving or any Fall time treat!

Elizabeth Hart designed a wonderful fall card using a great image from Cheryl Alger.  This image is called Sassy Sally's Fall Pumpkin.  She used adorable orange polka dotted paper which she paper pieced on to her card for the little girl's shoes, her skirt, and the pumpkin. Wow, cute!!

Charlene Mitchell used an adorable deer on her sweet card this week.  This cute image from artist Fawn Palmer is called Sleeping Fawn.  Don't you love the orange and brown together?  gorgeous work.

Darlene Pavlick created this witchy card with an adorable image called  Witch in a Pole from Pamela Lehto.  She added gorgeous papers and a awesome saying from artist Charlene Mitchell called Free Broom Rides. Though, I am not quite sure I would be accepting a ride from that witch, hmmm.....

Tammy Hair created beautiful fall card using two different leaf stamps.  The top of the card is Elizabeta Kushner's Leaf Banner.    The base of the card uses Leafy Background from the same artist.   Don't you love the green and oranges together, they are just striking.

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  used a great image from artist Cheryl Alger.  This cutie comes from a collection called Witches and Spells. It comes with several awesome Halloween images for just $3 at Squigglefly!

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! New Artists joining us this month!

Just two more days until our new release!  We have a ton of great new Christmas images coming that we know you will love using for your Christmas cards this year!  We are excited to announce two new artists joining us this month - husband and wife team Carmen and Graham Gamble!  Here are a few words from them

Graham and I reside in the Thompson valley of beautiful British Columbia Canada in a small city called Kamloops.
I have always loved to create.  It is a passion!! Whether I am sewing, making cards, playing classical guitar, quilting, making soap, altering or re-purposing an item-- it is when I am truly the happiest.  Therefore it came as no surprise when I took an interest in drawing digital images,  it being just another expression of my love for creating!  I have shared many of these creations on my blog, Beyond The Fringe Crafts.
Graham’s love is spending time on the ocean which has inspired the nautical theme of his digital artwork. He began creating digitals when he was on short term and finds it to be a relaxing and rewarding pastime.
In almost 30 years of marriage we have raised four sons and are now enjoying our 6 grandchildren (with another on the way). We are so honored to be asked to join the Squigglefly Artists team and look forward to sharing our artwork with everyone. We hope you enjoy our images!

Look for Carmen's and Graham's images on October 5th!
