Squigglefly Challenge #12, SFC1213 MARCH to the beat of your own drum!

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for this week's challenge?
We had a contest last week to make a song theme card, but we didn't have a winner.  That means that this week's winner will get TWO prizes!!  So everyone, put on your thinking caps and get ready for this week's challenge.  WOO HOO.

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For this week's challenge, SFC1213 MARCH to the beat of your own drum!

That's right, in celebration of March, this week's challenge is to march to the beat of your own drum, meaning...ANYTHING GOES...so share a card you make with us!  We would really love to see one with a Squigglefly image or sentiment in it.  To be eligible for the prize, it's required, but to play along, it's not necessary.  Share whatever you create

Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin crafted this wonderful birthday card using two fun images from Squigglefly.  The top image is from artist Gemma Mortlock called Grandma Knitting.  The image on the inside of the card is called Badonkadonk.  How cute!

Jan Marshall  created this wonderful matching set of a tag and a card with the cutest image.  Artist Fawn Palmer designed Oopsie Turtle.  I can't decide which I love more...

Elizabeth Hart designed a cute cuppie cake card using artist Diane Carubia's image Kittys Cupcake.  What a joyous celebration with those pearls and cupcake too! YUM.

Charlene Mitchell used an adorable image from artist Cheryl Alger called Sassy Sally's Winter Morning Special.  I just love to see the transition on her card from winter to spring via the flower and butterfly decor.  Kind of makes me think of the weather I am seeing here now, it's so warm some days immediately followed by that day with the chill in the air.

Darlene Pavlick crafted this stunning card.  The little girl image is called NO 2 Pencil and a Dream designed by artist Cheryl Alger. I love the gorgeous background paper and sheer ribbon.  I bet that little girl has huge dreams.

Tammy Hair created this adorable dog card.  This beautiful image is from artist Lynne Stansbery and is called Warm Feet Means Warm Dog.  How cute is that?  The wonderful saying is included with the image for only $3.

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  used a great image from artist Cheryl Alger.  This adorable image is called Pencil Boy With Glasses. Isn't he cute?  I used an monochromatic green theme and  I added a simple vellum sentiment "This world is but a canvas to our imagination."

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.

1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC1213 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.

3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!

4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for this week's challenge?
Well first let me tell you about last week's winner.  The contest last week was to make a card using ribbon.  The winner was Lizzies Craft Space she made a stunning mother's day card using Lynne Stansbery's image I miss you.

The winner can contact Holly from Squigglefly at usyungs@gmail.com, for your prize.

Now, on to this week's challenge, SFC1013 Spring is Near!

This week we want you to show us what you love about spring.  So to make a card for this week's challenge, create something wonderful in anything spring theme, that could include flowers, gardening, St Patrick's Day, Easter, even wonderful spring colors...have more spring ideas, surprise us!  We can't wait to see what you make.

Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin crafted this wonderful Easter theme card using a super cute image from artist Fawn Palmer.  This stamp is called Over an Egg.  Isn't he adorable?  I just love her beautiful papers and embellishments.  This cute image also comes with two sayings "Happy Easter" and "Hippity Hoppity Easter is on its way."

Jan Marshall  created this simply elegant style card using a wonderful new image from artist Diane Garrison.  The stamp is called Sweet Bunny.  I think this image can be used for Easter or just as it has been used here...SO beautiful, don't you love the coloring on the bunny?

Elizabeth Hart designed a perfect long card using Cheryl Alger's image "Bella's Flowers."  Her card just sings spring time with the beautiful bright colors and flowers and of course, Bella herself.

Charlene Mitchell is out this week, so we have a great guest designer Debbie Ebat who crafted this lovely Easter theme card for our challenge. She's using a fun image from Fawn Palmer called On an Egg.  I love the sentiment she used! it comes with the image when you buy it, and there's an additional saying too, it's "Happy Easter to an egg'stra special person."  So adorable.  Don't you love the embossing on the bottom layer on her card.  Thanks for joining us Debbie!!

Darlene Pavlick crafted this stunning card that just flowers out into spring time.  This image is called A Message from Mouse designed by artist Diane Carubia. I love the embossed circle she put her sentiment on.  Just gorgeous!! Who wouldn't want flowers from that mouse?

Tammy Hair created this adorable Easter themed card.  Don't you just love the Easter egg on there? She is using a sweet image and the matching saying called Easter Chicken from artist Diane Garrison.  How perfect are they together?  You get both the image and the saying for only $3.00

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  used a great image from artist Diane Carubia.  This spring filled image is called Fairy Beary Hugs.   How adorable!  I added a simple vellum sticker for the sentiment.
