This week's challenge is SFC4813 Sparkle it up!
The challenge this week is to add some sparkle to your card. This could be some shimmery paper or some beautiful glitter. Could also be some glitzy brads, shimmery stickers, metallic papers, or ? show us your style! We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.
Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:
Pat Martin created this wonderful Thank You card. She added a wonderful piece of confetti as well as glitter glue on the trail of the kite followed by some wonderful diamond gemstones. How delightful! Gorgeous work Pat! This brand new image Fly a Kite from Dawn Collins will be released in the December Squigglefly stamp release, so keep your eye out for it!
Jan Marshall created this fun card using two images from artist Dawn Collins that will be released in December, Text Cloud and Songbird. Aren't they lovely? I love the shimmer I can see on her card from the glitter.
Elizabeth Hart did this challenge with wonderful shimmery snowflake and gorgeous metal brads. This image is designed by artist Cheryl Alger and is called Skater. This image will be released in December! What a lovely paper combination and it matches her coloring. Delightful.
Charlene Mitchell used an adorable little girl from artist Cheryl Alger called Warm Winter Cocoa. This new image will be released in December. The beautiful paper and embellishments are from the Inger Harding collection
Winter Wonderland. The adorable
Merry Christmas Sentiment is from artist Jess Holland. She also has silver edged ribbon and glittery embellishment. Gorgeous work Charlene.
Darlene Pavlick created this beautiful winter card using the image Snow Much Love from Cheryl Alger. This brand new image will be released in December! She's using some wonderful cardstock with shimmery blue metallic background. The sentiment on this card is from Squigglefly artist Elizabeta Kushner. Gorgeous and perfect for this week's challenge!
Tammy Hair created a gorgeous glittery card using Bauble Group from artist Dawn Collins. In addition to all the gorgeous glitter, she also had embossed her image in silver and gold, you can see the gold shine on her ornaments.
And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from
Holley's Blog) am using a brand new image from artist Cheryl Alger. This image will be released in December and is called That's Hot Max. I added some gorgeous bling on the corners as well as using some sparkly glitter glue on top of the snowflakes of my die cut corners.
I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week. You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!
We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.
1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC4813 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.
2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.
3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!
4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)
