Squiggle Challenge #4 SFC0412 I'm Seeing RED

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Are you ready for a new contest? Well, first let me say who won last week. Thanks for all who participated last week in our first contest of 2012. The winner is Melissa R!! Melissa made a beautiful You Make my World go Round card using Squigglefly's My Punny Valentine 6 that set with both images and sayings from Lynne Stansbery!

Please contact Holly, usyungs@gmail.com, for your prize.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, on for this week's challenge, this week the theme is called "I'm seeing RED!"

This fun topic has a double meaning, the most obvious being of course, use red in your project. Show me lots of red, multi-tones of red, I will leave it up to your imagination. As for the other meaning, "I'm seeing RED!" (for those who aren't english in background), is associated with anger, lol, so pick that funny theme card that shows that person "blowing their top!"

Here's some wonderful samples to inspire you. There's so many incredible new stamps in the store this week! Check out the fun ideas from Holley's Hobbyists:

Pat Martin used a wonderful image called Hang On to Me by artist Lynne Stansbery. I love the bed of roses she created.

align="left">Theresa Gerber used Valentine Teddy by artist Suzanne Urban to make this delicious Red masterpiece! I love her saying.

Shawna Sealander did a super fun card using Snoots by artist Chesney Young. Can't you imagine a lady walking around with a dress and matching umbrella? Surely!

Charlene Mitchell used Frog Prince from arist Suzanne Urban and fun sayings from My Punny Valentine 3 by Lynne Stansbery. I hope some of those chocolates are for me!
Tammy Hair created this checkerboard card with an adorable image called Queen Bee by Suzanne Urban. Isn't that saying terrific?
And lastly, I (Holley from Holley's Blog) made this cutie called "Cupcake Bear" from artist Suzanne Urban. Believe me, any man handing me a yellow cake with chocolate frosting knows me too well!!

I hope these samples leave you guys with some wonderful ideas for making a card in our challenge this week. Here's some rules for playing in our challenge:

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefy belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.

1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC0212 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.

3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!

4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)

We can't wait to see your project!
