Hello everyone! Welcome to the last Squigglefly Challenge of 2013! Don't worry, we'll be back soon, but we are going to have a short break during the holiday. Last week the challenge was to create a holiday theme card. The winner of last week's challenge was Leslie M who created a gorgeous card using Cardinal Birdhouse from Squigglefly artist Marla Shega.. Congrats!!
This week's challenge is SFC5013 Use Red Somewhere, Anywhere!
The challenge this week is to add some red on your card. This could be a LOT of red or just a little. It can be your cardstock or your embellishments. It could be your coloring or a fancy flower, anything red or go all out and make a monotone red card! We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.
Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:
Pat Martin created this wonderful Christmas card. She's using Cheryl Alger's image called Figure Eight Style. What a delightful winter stamp and she turned it into a stunning Christmas card.
Jan Marshall created this fun card using a brand new stamp from artist Cheryl Alger called Santa's Winking Star. I love the shimmer I can see on her card from the glitter as well as the textured dots in the background of the window. Delightful!
Elizabeth Hart created an adorable goodie bag for this week's challenge. There's even RED candy in there, YUM! This image is designed by artist Pamela Lehto and is called Rudolph Postage Stamp. What a delightful gift to hand out during the holidays.
Charlene Mitchell used an adorable new santa stamp from artist Cheryl Alger called Santa's Winking Star. The adorable Merry Christmas Sentiment is from artist Jess Holland. She reused the adorable star from the Cheryl Alger stamp in the sentiment, what a cute idea!
Darlene Pavlick created this beautiful winter card using the image Two Snowmen from artist Pamela Lehto. I just love the red winter theme background paper. Don't you love that "snow button" on the snowman...that's too cute! Lovely work Darlene!
Tammy Hair created a gorgeous winter theme card using Snow Much Joy from artist Cheryl Alger. Don't you love her beautiful coloring on this image? the snowman looks like he's going to run right off that card!
And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog) am using a brand new image from artist Carmen Gamble. This image is called Steampunk Snowman. I colored him up in black and white and added red highlights for his mittens and scarf. Can't you just imagine driving by your neighbor's house and seeing a metal snowman?
I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week. You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!
