Squigglefly Challenge #18, SFC1813 It's a Monotone Kind of Day

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for this week's challenge? First let me tell you last week's winner.
We had a fun contest last week Odd Man Out, all you needed to do was to use an odd number of items on your card.  The winner was Heather Mills for her gorgeous creations (click here) using Cheryl Alger's  image Birth of a King!

Please contest Holly at usyungs@gmail.com for your prize.

For this week's challenge, SFC1813 It's a Monotone Kind of Day!

This week the challenge is to make a card using one color as your primary focus;  Pick whichever color you like.  Make a card using all blue items or how about a stunning card in all white?  make a card using all reds or even a card using all greens.....would be great if you also incorporate your image in the monotone type, but you can color your image as the one feature if you choose.  We of course always love a Squigglefly image, it's not required to play, but to be eligible for the prize, must be included.
Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin crafted this beautiful card fold out card with an image called Blow Me a Kiss from artist Lynne Stansbery.  Don't you love all the Blues, that's perfect for the mono-tone theme.  Perfect for this week's challenge.

Jan Marshall  created this wonderful  card chosing pink as her monotone color.  She's using wonderful tones of pink and even colors her image in pinks.  Great work Jan!  This cute stamp is from artist Diane Carubia and is called Curlys Cupcake.

Elizabeth Hart designed a darling Mother's Day card using the sweetest brand new image from artist Lynne Stansbery.  How cute!  This image is called Blow Me a Kiss.  I love how she dusted her lace diecut with wonderful ink to make the shading match with her monotone theme card.  Lovely.

Charlene Mitchell used an stunning image called Butterfly Bear from artist Diane Carubia. Such beautiful shades of purple everywhere.  So cute that the butterflies on those banners match the image.  Wonderful work Charlene.

Darlene Pavlick crafted this pretty in purple masterpiece using the cutest fairy.  That adorable digi-stamp comes from artist Diane Carubia and is called Fairy Wand.  Don't you love the wings?  I think they look like stained glass.  So many wonderful shades of the same color, I love it!!

Tammy Hair created a beautiful cream colored card and used an adorable dog from one of Squigglefly's newest artists, Dawn Collins.  This cute stamp is called Deefur Walking.  Be sure and check out the store as there are other images of this cute dog.  I really like the printed paper she chose!

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  used a great image from artist Diane Carubia.  This adorable image is called Window Bear.  Here I am using all browns, papers, diecuts, and even the copic marker colors for the image.

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.

1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC1813 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.

3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!

4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)
