Squigglefly Challenge #20, SFC2013 Man Up!

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for this week's challenge? First let me tell you last week's winner.
We had a fun contest last week to use a pocket somewhere on your card.  The winner was Suz, TampaStamper12 who used an adorable image called the Turtle Express.

Please contact Holly at usyungs@gmail.com for your prize.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This week's challenge is SFC2013 Man up!

With Father's day coming soon in June, this week's challenge is to create a card for dear ol' dad (or grandpa, or that hubby,...).  We of course always love a Squigglefly image, it's not required to play, but to be eligible for the prize, must be included.
Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin crafted this beautiful card using a great image from artist Diana Carubia.  This image is called "I just called to say," what dad wouldn't love a phone call on Father's Day?  Just perfect, Pat!!

Jan Marshall  created this wonderful card using Mikey Cat from artist Dawn Collins.  This image comes facing both directions, which she took advantage of using both images!  Perfect.  Lots of Dad's deserve a trophy, or even more so, a gorgeous handmade card like this on Father's Day.

Elizabeth Hart designed a lovely scenic card using an image from artist Lynne Stansbery called Just Sailing Along.  Don't you love the layering on the plants? It really makes them stand out.  Those buttons are just too adorable.

Charlene Mitchell used an stunning image from Lynne Stansbery Shy Bear Collection.  This one is called Up A Creek.  Just perfect for a Father's Day Card, don't you love the cute little frogs on there?

Darlene Pavlick crafted this adorable card using a wonderful image from Cheryl Alger.  She's called Ride Em Cowboy.  Wouldn't a dad love this card from his little girl?

Tammy Hair created a beautiful card and she made the image look just like a photo, I love that layout. This image comes from artist Lynne Stansbery and it's called A Man and His Grill. In addition to the cute saying she shows, it comes with 3 more sayings that are perfect for father's!  Stunning work Tammy.

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  used a great image from artist Dawn Collins.  This adorable image is called Deefur.  As everyone says, Dog is man's best friend, I know that goes for my dad.

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!

Squigglefly Challenge #18, SFC1813 It's a Monotone Kind of Day

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for this week's challenge? First let me tell you last week's winner.
We had a fun contest last week Odd Man Out, all you needed to do was to use an odd number of items on your card.  The winner was Heather Mills for her gorgeous creations (click here) using Cheryl Alger's  image Birth of a King!

Please contest Holly at usyungs@gmail.com for your prize.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For this week's challenge, SFC1813 It's a Monotone Kind of Day!

This week the challenge is to make a card using one color as your primary focus;  Pick whichever color you like.  Make a card using all blue items or how about a stunning card in all white?  make a card using all reds or even a card using all greens.....would be great if you also incorporate your image in the monotone type, but you can color your image as the one feature if you choose.  We of course always love a Squigglefly image, it's not required to play, but to be eligible for the prize, must be included.
Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin crafted this beautiful card fold out card with an image called Blow Me a Kiss from artist Lynne Stansbery.  Don't you love all the Blues, that's perfect for the mono-tone theme.  Perfect for this week's challenge.

Jan Marshall  created this wonderful  card chosing pink as her monotone color.  She's using wonderful tones of pink and even colors her image in pinks.  Great work Jan!  This cute stamp is from artist Diane Carubia and is called Curlys Cupcake.

Elizabeth Hart designed a darling Mother's Day card using the sweetest brand new image from artist Lynne Stansbery.  How cute!  This image is called Blow Me a Kiss.  I love how she dusted her lace diecut with wonderful ink to make the shading match with her monotone theme card.  Lovely.

Charlene Mitchell used an stunning image called Butterfly Bear from artist Diane Carubia. Such beautiful shades of purple everywhere.  So cute that the butterflies on those banners match the image.  Wonderful work Charlene.

Darlene Pavlick crafted this pretty in purple masterpiece using the cutest fairy.  That adorable digi-stamp comes from artist Diane Carubia and is called Fairy Wand.  Don't you love the wings?  I think they look like stained glass.  So many wonderful shades of the same color, I love it!!

Tammy Hair created a beautiful cream colored card and used an adorable dog from one of Squigglefly's newest artists, Dawn Collins.  This cute stamp is called Deefur Walking.  Be sure and check out the store as there are other images of this cute dog.  I really like the printed paper she chose!

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  used a great image from artist Diane Carubia.  This adorable image is called Window Bear.  Here I am using all browns, papers, diecuts, and even the copic marker colors for the image.

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!
