This week's challenge is to add a charm to your card. This can be a metal charm, a cardmaking embellishment, and image with a charm on it, or even one of those paper charms. We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.
Let's start with some great examples from the Holley Hobbyists:
Pat Martin created this adorable long card using a sweet little fish charm and Sweater Kitty from a brand new stamp from our newest artist Tam Hess. Don't you love how she colored all their sweaters? Too cute.
Kecia Waters created this lovely card using a new image from Squigglefly artist James Horvath. She added wonderful charms to the twill. This image is called Female Singer. I love the die cut she used!
Elizabeth Hart designed this sweet and gorgeously laid out card using two new stamps from Squigglefly artist James Horvath. This image is called Arrr! More Pirates as well as Pirate Accessories. Both of these images come with a wonderful assortment of pirate theme treasures.
Jen Leeflang created this adorable Love theme card that opens in the center. This brand new image is called Cat and Kitten. It has an additional image included from artist Jame Horvath for only $1.50, what a wonderful digi stamp set! Don't you love the background paper she chose here?
Darlene Pavlick created this sweet and simple card using a brand new image from brand new Squigglefly artist Angela Charles. This image is called Jean Boy. Don't you love her jeans on this image? how about those pockets?
Tammy Hair created this bright and beautiful summer card using a new stamp from artist James Horvath. This lovely image is called Cheer! Don't you love her charm? She made this adorable charm herself by adding multiple layers of embossing powder! Isn't that an inspiring idea?
And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog) made a metallic theme card and colored my image in monotone browns using Copic markers E30-E39. This brand new image is from Squigglefly artist Tam Hess and is called Artsy Owl. Doesn't the charm match perfectly?
I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week. You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!
We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.
1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC3214 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.
2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.
3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!
4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)
