This week's challenge is SFC3814 Choose Orange, Purple, or Black
This week's challenge is to create a project using orange, purple, or black as your primary card color. You can use more than one of these colors on your card. Your card doesn't have to be Halloween theme, as you will see from the DT examples below, any topic is welcome as long as you chose one of the desired colors. We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.
Let's start with some great examples from the Holley Hobbyists:
Pat Martin created this gorgeous card in lovely shared of purple with a hint of black. This wonderful image comes from artist Sandra Caldwell. This image is called Bearly a Nurse. Doesn't it make a lovely get well card?
Kecia Waters created this adorable card using a new image from Squigglefly artist Sandra Caldwell. Don't you love the dress? This image is called Bearly a Princess. How precious is that!
Elizabeth Hart designed this gorgeous card using a brand new stamp from Squigglefly artist Fawn Palmer called Moose and Birdy. Don't you love the gorgeous paper combo? Just lovely. In addition to the I Moose You sentiment, this collection comes with 2 more hilarious sayings.
Jen Leeflang created this beautifully made card. This bunny is from artist Fawn Palmer and is called Hurt Bunny Crutches. Isn't her layout great? This image also comes with two additional sayings, plus the saying shown on this card.
Darlene Pavlick created this fun card using a great image from Squigglefly artist James Horvath. Don't you love her background paper? This image is called Chicken Newscaster. It comes with three other hilarious sentiments!
Tammy Hair created this gorgeous card using a new image from artist Norma Burnell. This lovely image is called Fairy Wren Mermaid. Don't you love the crackle finish? This card is just stunning and that tiny bit of orange fringe is perfect!
And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog) have chosen orange, which you all know I love. I have this adorable specialty card from Doodlebug which came with a matching envelope. I used a Squigglefly stamp from artist Niina Niskanen called Dolphin Splash. Isn't she lovely?
I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week. You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!
We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.
1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC3814 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.
2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.
3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!
