Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Welcome to this week's Squigglefly Challenge. First let us congratulate our winner from last week's challenge.  The Challenge last week was to create a Christmas card, with a twist to use non-Christmas colors if desired.  The winner is Alicia Borowski for her stunning card using Snowman Bird from Fawn Palmer.

This week's winner can please contact Holly at usyungs@gmail.com for your prize.

This week's challenge is SFC4614 Give me a SQUARE Deal
For this week's challenge you simply need to create a square card. You are welcome to share a holiday theme card, but holiday themes are not required as long as your card is square.  We can't wait to see what you create. We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.

Let's start with some great examples from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin created this gorgeous square card with a lovely brown background  I just love how everything stands out so boldly on this cardstock.  This beautiful image is called Ho Ho Ho Snowmen from artist Cheryl Alger.

Kecia Waters  created this fun card using a new sentiment available at the store.  This hilarious image is called All About Dad from artist Cheryl Alger.  What a delightful birthday card or new year card.

Elizabeth Hart made this adorable square card  this week using a super cute stamp from artist  Cheryl Alger.  How cute is this?  This image  is called Maddie the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  Doesn't she make you feel jolly?

Jen Leeflang created this beautifully made square Christmas card.  This gorgeous image is from artist Pamela Lehto and is called Old World Santa Christmas & Holly Wreath.    I just love her beautiful coloring and the way it makes the Santa stand out on this card.

Darlene Pavlick created this gorgeous winter theme card with beautiful birds and holly from artist Sal Scheibe. She's using beautiful bling for snow and a Merry Christmas sentiment. This image is Christmas Birds.

Linda Weber created this adorable kitty card using a new image from  Niina Niskanen. This cute image is called Cat in the basket.  Don't know love her layout?  Those cute yarn balls!

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog) have a wonderful image from artist Sal Scheibe and is called Gothic Christmas.  I decided to color everything in greys except for the girl, don't you love her Skeleton hair pin?

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.

1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC4614 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.

3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!

4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)
