Squigglefly Challenge #50, SFC5014, Happy Holidays to You!

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the final challenge of 2014! First let us congratulate our winner from last week's challenge.  The Challenge last week was to create a card using embossing or diecuts.  The winner is Connie R  who used ShyBear Snowy Playmate from artist Lynne Stansbery. This week's winner can please contact Holly at usyungs@gmail.com for your prize.
 
Now, on for some announcements before I give you this week's challenge, this week will be our final challenge with our dear team member Darlene P!  Please leave love for her in the comments section. We totally adore her beautiful work and give her best wishes.  We hope to see her visit us and play in some great challenges in the upcoming year.
 
Also, there will be a two week break on new challenges, we will start the 2015 challenge year on Jan 5, 2015.  Therefore this week's challenge will be extended to a three week long challenge so you can continue to play and add as many cards as you would like to this game.  We can't wait to see what you create!

This week's challenge is SFC5014 Happy Holidays to You

For this week's challenge is called Happy Holidays to You. This challenge you may create a card using any holiday theme:  Hanukah, Christmas, Kwanza, New Years, even Valentines! Let's see your Holiday Greetings.  We have a longer deadline, so this challenge will end on Jan  We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.

Let's start with some great examples from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin created this lovely center fold card with an great center opening filled with a wonderful image from artist Sandra Caldwell. This fun stamp is called Santa and his birdie.  Be sure and check out the whole stamp image online.  So great, just like this card!
 
Kecia Waters  created this fun card using a new image from artist Cheryl Alger.  This fun stamp is I got Your Nose- Bobbi Sue.  Don't you just LOVE her coloring?  What a gorgeous card.
 
 
Elizabeth Hart made this adorable square card that's a perfect holiday theme card.  It's using a wonderful stamp from artist James Horvath called Skiers. Don't you just love those sewn Christmas trees?  how about that glittery snow?  This great image set also comes with an additional image.
 
 
Jen Leeflang created this adorable Elf card.  This gorgeous image is from artist Sal Schiebe and is called Christmas Elf.  Don't you love the fun snowflakes she added, they just match he card colors perfectly!

 
Darlene Pavlick created this gorgeous Christmas card with a beautiful image from artist Cheryl Alger.  This fairy is called A Christmas Fairy.  How stunning is she?  I just love her tree!  Gorgeous work Dar!  You will be missed!
 
 
Tammy Hair made this beautiful New Year's Theme card with a gorgeous image from artist Lynne Stansbery.  This wonderful image is called Here's to Anything.  Wouldn't this stamp also be stunning for a wedding?  a promotion? a graduation? WOW! 

 

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog) have a great winter theme card using an adorable snowman from artist Sandra Caldwell.  I am using embossed snowflakes and three layers with a fun image called Tangled up Snowman.

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.

1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC5014 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.

3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!

Squigglefly Challenge #48, SFC4814 Skip Skip Skip to my Lou

Hello everyone! Welcome to this week's Squigglefly Challenge. This week's challenge is SFC4814 Skip Skip Skip to my Lou

For this week's challenge is called Skip Skip Skip to my Lou. You must create a card without the colors Red or Green.  It would be fun if your card is holiday themed, but that is not required.  Any theme card is acceptable. We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.

Pat Martin created this gorgeous trifold card with an adorable new image from artist Cheryl Alger. I just love how each fold shows something perfectly.  This beautiful image is called Smooth Sailing from artist Cheryl Alger. 

 
Kecia Waters  created this fun card using a new image that available at the store on Saturday Dec 6th.  This hilarious image is called Dog Trick. Don't you love him?  I just love how she made this fun image into a winter card. Gorgeous work Kecia!

 
Elizabeth Hart made this adorable square card that's a perfect holiday theme card without a lot red and green theme.  It's using a wonderful stamp from artist Sandra Caldwell.  How cute is this?  This image  is called Reindeer Piggie

 
Jen Leeflang created this beautiful snowman card.  This gorgeous image is from artist Cheryl Alger and will be available at the store starting Saturday Dec 6th.  This image is called Love is having open arms.  So keep an eye out!   I just love her shimmery embellishments and twinkle of the glitter.

 
Darlene Pavlick created this gorgeous New Year's card with a brand new sentiment called New Year Cheer.  I love the gorgeous timepiece she used and the perfect background to go with it.

 
Linda Weber created this beautiful stand-up card. This wonderful image is City Skyline from Squigglefly artist James Horvath.  Don't know love her layout?  This card would make a  wonderful gift!  This stamp will go on sale Saturday Dec 6th!

Tammy Hair made this beautiful Snowman card with a  wonderful image from artist Cheryl Alger.  This wonderful image is called Hanging Stars.  As the site says I'll bet you didn't know snowmen decorated for the holidays too.
 
 

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog) have a fun quote for New Years that I did for this card called Short Resolutions.  I decided to color everything in purples and used a wonderful little frame, which comes in a great set of 4 different frames called half moon border set from Charlene Mitchell.
