This week's challenge is SFC4814 Skip Skip Skip to my Lou
For this week's challenge is called Skip Skip Skip to my Lou. You must create a card without the colors Red or Green. It would be fun if your card is holiday themed, but that is not required. Any theme card is acceptable. We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.
Let's start with some great examples from the Holley Hobbyists:
Pat Martin created this gorgeous trifold card with an adorable new image from artist Cheryl Alger. I just love how each fold shows something perfectly. This beautiful image is called Smooth Sailing from artist Cheryl Alger.
Kecia Waters created this fun card using a new image that available at the store on Saturday Dec 6th. This hilarious image is called Dog Trick. Don't you love him? I just love how she made this fun image into a winter card. Gorgeous work Kecia!
Elizabeth Hart made this adorable square card that's a perfect holiday theme card without a lot red and green theme. It's using a wonderful stamp from artist Sandra Caldwell. How cute is this? This image is called Reindeer Piggie.
Jen Leeflang created this beautiful snowman card. This gorgeous image is from artist Cheryl Alger and will be available at the store starting Saturday Dec 6th. This image is called Love is having open arms. So keep an eye out! I just love her shimmery embellishments and twinkle of the glitter.
Darlene Pavlick created this gorgeous New Year's card with a brand new sentiment called New Year Cheer. I love the gorgeous timepiece she used and the perfect background to go with it.
Linda Weber created this beautiful stand-up card. This wonderful image is City Skyline from Squigglefly artist James Horvath. Don't know love her layout? This card would make a wonderful gift! This stamp will go on sale Saturday Dec 6th!
here's the base of her card
Tammy Hair made this beautiful Snowman card with a wonderful image from artist Cheryl Alger. This wonderful image is called Hanging Stars. As the site says I'll bet you didn't know snowmen decorated for the holidays too.
And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog) have a fun quote for New Years that I did for this card called Short Resolutions. I decided to color everything in purples and used a wonderful little frame, which comes in a great set of 4 different frames called half moon border set from Charlene Mitchell.
I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week. You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!
We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.
1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC4814 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.
2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.
3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!
