Squigglefly Challenge #34, SFC3412 - Falling into Fall

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Are you ready for this week's challenge? Well first let me tell you about last week's winner.  The contest last week was to create a card using a technique.  This week's winner is Linda Osterwise who created a card using artist Mike Eustis' image "Get Whale Soon."  Her card is so adorable, check it out here!

Please contact Holly at usyungs@gmail.com, for your prize.

Now, on to this week's challenge, SFC3412 Falling into Fall

This week's challenge is very simple.  Create a card with EITHER Fall theme embellishments or School theme embellishments.  The card itself doesn't have to be completely fall/school theme as long as there are fall or school theme embellishments on it somewhere.

Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists.

Pat Martin created a stunning fall card in Halloween theme using a great stamp from artist Jane Beljo.   This stamp image is called Winnie.  She's just perfect for those upcoming cards you want!  This adorable stamp will start sale at the beginning of Sept, so keep your eye out for the store!!

Jan Marshall  made a card using girly image from artist Diane Carubia called Shy Maisy.  Isn't she just too cute?  I love this card, it's perfect for fall with it's colors of orange and those gorgeous leaves!  But, as you can see, she has actually made a Thank You card, by putting a Thanks tag as well as friendship themed leaves.

Elizabeth Hart designed this fall theme card using Diana Garrison's image called "Butterfly Beauties."  I just love her amazing color choices.  So rich and warm.  The place that she added a wonderful "Fabulous Fall" is where the sun image on the stamp is.  Gorgeous work.

Charlene Mitchell shows a sweet fall card with two pals called Snuggle Buddies from artist Lynne Stansberry.  The saying she is using is also from the Squigglefly and was given away as a freebie at Papercraft Planet (here).  I just love those crystal leaves.  Perfect for fall time!
Lisa Minkler crafted this wonderful fall theme card using an adorable stamp from artist Mike Eustis called Summer Friends.  I love her color combination and the way she sets out the image from the rest of the card.  Happy Fall, indeed!

Tammy Hair created a wonderful card that's just perfect for the challenge using a fun stamp from artist Fawn Palmer.  This image is called Patchwork Apple.  It's perfect for the kids or the teachers.  Great work, Tammy!

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  used an adorable stamp  from artist Fawn Palmer called Happy Baby.  Though made to be a Congratulations stamp for someone who has just had a kiddo, I turned this stamp into a nice fall theme card.  This wonderful stamp also comes with two great sayings so check it out on the site!!
I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card this week. Now run out and make a card to play along with us, don't forget to add some fall or school theme embellishments.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use a stamp from Squigglefly!

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.

1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC3412 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.

3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!

4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)
