Now, on to this week's challenge, SFC1612 Mother's Day.
This week we are getting ready for Mother's Day, it's just the 2 week of May! So think of all those mom's in your life, your own and those surrounding you. Do she like a loving card? a funny card? Make something wonderful. As always, we would love for you to include a wonderful image from Squigglefly; to win a prize you must do so, but it is not required to participate.
Now, Let's start out with some fun samples to inspire you this week from the Holley Hobbyists.
Pat Martin made a stunning circular shaped Stand-up card that any Mom would proudly display! WOW. She used a great image called
Sassy Sally Loves Birds by artist Cheryl Alger and she added a sweet sentiment that will warm a mother's heart.
Theresa Gerber made this sweet card using
Hugs for Kitty by artist Deena Perault. What an adorable child hugging a cat, lovely sentiment for Mother's day and perfect for a mom or other family member!
Shawna Sealander made a wonderful Mother's Day card using "
Noah's Suprise Gift" from artist Cheryl Alger. I just wonder what that little boy has in store for his mom in that box.
Charlene Mitchell created a beautiful card using
Country Birdhouse Duo by artist Cheryl Alger. Isn't that little house sweet? I walk all over my neighborhood and I would love to see a birdhouse like that. That Happy Mother's Day ticket is great.
Tammy Hair made a beautiful card using printed papers and amazing coloring, the image is from artist Sandy Sommerfield and it's called
Gone Buggy. Too cute! I love her punny sentiment! Just perfect for a mom who needs a little laugh.
And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog) used an adorable image from artist Cheryl Alger called "Allie Kisses a Blue Bird." Can't you just imagine a little girl picking up the birds and loving on them. Wouldn't a mom just smile seeing this? Here's the front of the card.
Inside the card, I added this image, it's
Baby Bird Bathtime by Fawn Palmer. Can you imagine a mom's reaction when she realizes her little girl is putting those birds (as well as her sibling!!) in the bird bath. The sentiment says "You taught me to love all things. Happy Mother's Day!"
I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card this week! We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.
1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC1212 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.
2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.
3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!
4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)
We can't wait to see your project!
