Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone! Welcome to this week's Squigglefly Challenge. I hope you were able to join in on last week's fun.  Last week, our challenge was to use our two favorite colors on our card.  The winner of that challenge is AJ who use Peyton the Bumbling Bear from artist Cheryl Alger.

Please contact Holly at usyungs@gmail.com for your prize.

This week's challenge is SFC1014 The Earth Laughs in Flowers!

The challenge this week is called The Earth Laughs in Flowers.  Please include flowers somewhere on your card, this can be flowers in your image, flowers as embellishments (be they paper flowers, floral brads, flower eyelets, flower sequins,...) or floral paper on your card.  We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.
Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin made this great card using two wonderful sets of flowers, her beautiful Easter Praying Hands image from artist Pamela Lehto has flowers in it plus she added a flower onto her card. Gorgeous.  She is also using a beautiful sentiment called Even Today.

Jan Marshall  created this gorgeous card.  Doesn't it look so elegant? Her flowers are so dainty and just perfect on this card.  This sentiment comes in a large set of sayings from artist Elizabeta Kushner called "Sentiments for You."   You get six gorgeous sayings for only $3!

Elizabeth Hart created a lovely card with lots of beautiful flower using a wonderful new image from artist Cheryl Alger. This sweet girl is called Serving Up Birthday Cake. How delightful. Did you see the tiny flower on her birthday tag too?

Charlene Mitchell made this cute card that gave me a chuckle.  This new image is from artist Carmen Gamble and is called Irish Frog.  It even comes with the fun sentiment shown.  I can think of a couple ways to use these items separately too.  Don't you love that little clover in the frog's mouth?

Darlene Pavlick created this adorable card with both flowery embellishments as well as floral paper! This darling girl is Pigtail Gabby from artist Cheryl Alger.  Don't you love how her outfit matches the ribbon as well as some of the flowers?

Tammy Hair created this beautiful spring card using a great new image from artist Elizabeta Kushner called Big Parasol.   The wonderful sentiment comes in a beautiful collection of six great greetings for only $3!! That's just .50 per sentiment, it's called "Sentiments for you."

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  thought I would really make a twist to this week's card by using flowers as well as making a manly themed card.  I am using a brand new image from Squigglefly artist Pamela Lehto called Toy Dog on Wheels.  It comes with two sentiments including the one shown.

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.

1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC1014 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.

3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!
