This week's challenge is SFC1214 Polka Dots Please!
The challenge this week is called Polka Dots Please. Please include polka dots somewhere on your card, this can in your image, on your background paper, or on any embellishments (be they paper flowers, brads, ribbons...). We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.
Let's start with some inspiration from the Holley Hobbyists:
Pat Martin used some wonderful polka dot paper with this great image from artist Lynne Stansbery called Vanity, Thy Name is Woman. She also used some polka dot ribbon for the challenge. Great work Pat!
Jan Marshall created this gorgeous card. She has sheer polka dot ribbon and an embossed polka dot frame. This new image is from artist Elizabeta Kushner called Big Wheel Bike. The sentiment is also from Elizabeta Kushner's Sentiments for You.
Elizabeth Hart created a lovely card Easter theme card. She's got polka dots on her background paper as well as on the image itself! How delightful. This stamp is called Three Easter Eggs from Pamela Lehto.
Charlene Mitchell made this sweet card using a gorgeous clown image from artist Pamela Lehto. This new image is called Pam's Clown. She's added her own dots around the image, has polka dotted paper and cute bling dots too! The frame used here is also from artist Pamela Lehto, Ruffled Frame.
Darlene Pavlick created this adorable card with polka dot paper and polka dot ribbon. This fun image is from artist Lynne Stansbery called Vanity, Thy Name is Woman. That sentiment is too funny with this image, lol!
Tammy Hair created this beautiful spring card with polka dots on her card and on her image. This great image is from artist Fawn Palmer called Granny Gertie is a Tree. It comes with the fun sentiment shown "My favorite day of the week to exercise will always be tomorrow." and one additional sentiment.
And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog) thought I would add polka dots every where; on my card's background, on my image background, on my flower, on my flower's center, my ribbon, even on my wood embellishments! This adorable image is from artist Cheryl Alger and his name is Gilbert Schmilbert.
I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week. You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!
We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.
1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC1214 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.
2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.
3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!
4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)
