This week's challenge is SFC2414 Summer Color: Orange or Blue

This week the challenge to create card using Orange or Blue (or both) as your primary color.   It can blue for the summer skies or the water to play in or orange for the sunshine.  Show at least one of these colors on your card or even both.  Your card does not have to be summer in theme, but either blue or orange should be the primary color of your card  We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.

Let's start with some great examples from the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin  created a beautiful card for this week's challenge in orange and blue.  This stunning image is from artist Niina Niskanen and is called Earth Keeper.  Don't you love her paper? That metal tag says "encourage your hopes, not your fears."

Jan Marshall  created adorable card in orange/blue. This cute bear is called and comes from Squigglefly's newest artist Sandra Caldwell. He's called Bearly Americana.  Wouldn't this Teddy be great for the 4th of July as well?

Elizabeth Hart created a great father's day card with an image from Cheryl Alger called I just love that paper and how she added a little orange ribbon on the corner.   What a great light blue and orange combo. This new stamp is called Handsome Max.

Charlene Mitchell made a wonderful summer card using a brand new image from James Horvath.  This cutie is called Ballet. This girl loves to twirl.  Don't you love her blue paper and flower?

Darlene Pavlick created this fun filled card with a brand new image from Squigglefly artist Cheryl Alger. This image is Maddie's Blue Hat.  Isn't that embossed background awesome? I just love her orange and blue everywhere.

Tammy Hair created this great card with a brand new image from artist James Horvath called Archaeologist.  Don't you love her paper and how it goes with the theme?

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  thought I would make a fun card using an image  from artist Sandra Caldwell.  This little fellow is called Spring Head Duck.  I used orange as my card base and blue as the complimentary color for the embellishments.

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.

1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC2414 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.

3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!

4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)
